Guest Service Associate

DEPARTMENT: TASTING ROOM


Duties include but are not limited to:

Opening Responsibilities
• Replenish wine inventory in tasting room from back stock room
• Stock tasting/wine club glasses at check-in register
• Stock check-in register with wine club shipments
• Set up patio

Running duties/Sidework
• Clear, rinse, and box dirty glasses. Transport boxes to back stock room.
• Keep patio tables and belly-ups clear of dirty glasses and trash
• Clear dirty glasses from tasting bar
• Periodically check bathroom. Clean and stock paper as needed.
• Stock wine as needed
• Maintain clean glass stock
• Assist with maintaining non-wine merchandise inventory on floor

 Tasting Bar
• Convey a friendly, professional attitude
• Assist Tasting Room Associate with packaging purchases, and carry/transport to customer’s vehicles
• Help maintain proper organization of wine bottles
• Open bottles as needed, make sure to properly date open bottles

Cleanup
• Take down umbrellas and turn off fountains
• Clear patio of dirty glasses and trash

Dates and Hours
• Part-time: 8 to 20 hours a week
• Employees are asked to be available to work on most:
o Holiday long weekends (Saturday, Sunday and/or Mondays)
o Special Events weekends (approx. 5 per year)
• Plus occasionally…
o An evening event (i.e. Wine Club Party, Winemaker’s Dinner, usually 8-10 per year)

Qualifications
• Must be 17 years of age
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work special events ( i.e. barrel tastings, wine club pick up parties, etc.)
• Must be able to lift 40 – 50lbs regularly
• Prior cash register experience helpful
• Able to stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time
• Experience with wine desirable but not essential
• Positive attitude, good conversational skills and enjoying working with the public

Compensation starts at $16.50 per hour, with additional earning potential through commission and tips.
