Cashier, Host/Hostess & Merchandise Clerk
DEPARTMENT: TASTING ROOM
Duties include but not limited to:
Stock tasting/wine club glasses at check-in register
Stock check-ins register with wine club shipments.
Stock tasting cards
Greet all customers.
Manage cash register.
Answer phones; take messages.
Periodically check bathroom; clean and stock paper as needed.
Maintain clean glass stock.
Assist with maintaining non-wine merchandise inventory on floor
Dates and Hours
Part-time: 8 to 20 hours a week
Employees are asked to be available to work on most:
Holiday long weekends (Saturday, Sunday and/or Mondays)
Special Events weekends (approx. 5 per year)
An evening event (i.e. Wine Club Party, Winemaker’s Dinner, usually 8-10 per year)
Must be 18 years of age.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work special events ( i.e. barrel tastings, wine club pick up parties, etc.)
Prior cash register experience helpful
Able to stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time.
Experience with wine desirable but not essential
Positive attitude, good conversational skills and enjoying working with the public.
