This position works closely with our winemaking team and will get to experience all aspects of harvest and winery operations.
Duties include:
Fermentation management: punch downs and pump overs.
Crush pad operations: grape receival and processing.
Draining tanks by gravity, pressing, and Barrel filling
Grape maturity sampling work in the vineyard and processing fruit.
General winery duties like topping, barrel washing, cleaning, etc.
Requirements:
Previous forklift experience is a plus.
General knowledge of winemaking and viticulture
Ability to climb, bend, and stand for prolonged lengths of time, and be able to lift 50lbs.
Ability to work long, flexible hours through busy harvest season and very early hours to late hours at times.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
Ability to lawfully work in the USA.
Candidate should be very organized and be able to multi-task well.
Must have a good understanding of winemaking concepts and have a positive attitude, being a team player is also very important.
