Introducing Ken & Tina Smith

Dear Danza Members

It’s with great pleasure that I introduce my wife Tina and myself, as the proud new owners of Danza del Sol Winery!

Tina and I have lived in Temecula for over 30 years where we’ve raised our five sons while having a front-row seat to how the valley has grown. As a long-standing member of this community I’ve founded Southwest Traders, a distribution company that has grown to be in the top 50 privately-owned food service companies in the United States, purchased and taken Galway Downs out of bankruptcy, turning it into one of the top equestrian centers in the Western United States, won the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, owner of Galway Spirits, and Indian Oaks Campground, and majority owner of Cross Creek Golf Club. I also currently serve as a board member for Visit Temecula Valley.

All of these assets are being managed by our Kentina Hospitality Group.  Kentina’s vision is to bring an elevated guest experience in the area of entertainment and events such as weddings, equestrian, and sporting events to Temecula Valley. We’re excited for Danza del Sol Winery to become a part of the Kentina family and offer unique experiences, enhanced wine club benefits, and continue the commitment to exceptional service, and producing quality wines.

Don’t worry! You can still expect to see your favorite tasting room staff led by Director of Hospitality, Walter Carter, the winemaking team led by Winemaker, Justin Knight, and operations led by Patricia O’Brien, Director of Sales & Operations. We are enthusiastic about this new adventure and look forward to sharing our plans with you soon.
