Tara grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and was a hairdresser for 5 years before she decided a change of scenery necessary. She wanted to get out of that “OC Bubble” and that landed here in the Temecula area.

Tara has been here at Danza del Sol Winery since October of 2018. With no prior experience in the wine industry, Tara became intrigued and grew to absolutely love wine. At Danza, she works as a tasting room server and has most recently taken up doing our tours of our vineyard.

Along with a few of our staff, Tara decided to further her knowledge in wine and completed the Level Two Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). In recognition to her accomplishment in completing and successfully passing the course, we asked her a few questions about herself, working at Danza, and what it was like taking a course like the WSET.

What do you do outside of work?

“I love the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.”

People would be surprised if they knew: “I played soccer for fourteen years and I have four pugs!”

What is your favorite time of the year at the winery?

“I love fall and wintertime, however the bloom in the spring is beautiful!”

What do you love about Danza?

                        " 1. Atmosphere 2. Wine 3. Family/Friends

The ability to be myself, interact with guests both local and visiting, and celebrating special memories with guests. Also, we have the best tasting room staff and management team to keep pushing us and offer us great training and education."

Working in customer service is not for everyone, but here at Danza Del Sol we hope to make the experience authentic and warm for not only our guests, but our employees as well. We are very grateful that our tasting room staff take the initiative to learn more about the winemaking process and for being apt pupils.

Next time you’re around wine country, stop by and say hello to Tara or any of our tasting room staff!
